I have offered freelance services to publishers and small businesses since 1989.  I worked in the bookselling and publishing trade from 1973 until the mid 80s when my children were born.  I continued with my  translation typing proofreading skills working from home setting up my freelance business Transtype, which I have run alongside first of all the family farm and then a touring caravan camping site here in Devon.  We moved to our current address in 2007 where I can now concentrate more on my publishing and office services business.

I offer transcription services both to local businesses here in north Devon as well as online as digital files. 

My main business is to offer services to publishers worldwide copy-editing, proofreading, revises checking and index proofreading as well as translation from French and German.

I work on permissions clearance either by liaising with contributing authors to check they have obtained permissions clearance for their proposed works, or to contact publishers directly to obtain the relevant licences.

I work locally but also worldwide and with online delivery I can be working here in the UK while you are asleep in another part of the world to get your project to you when you go to your office in Asia or Australia or USA  or wherever you may be.
